Appointment of Coordination Committee to keep an eye on the affairs of INTUC
According to the Press Release on December 24, 2022, by Hon’ble former Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi had constituted a two-member committee with Shri Mallikarjun Kharge and Shri Digvijaya Singh as members, to examine the issues that emerged due to rivalry amongst certain factions of INTUC and frictions within the organisation, and submit a report for further consideration and suitable action.
On examining the membership records and number of Trade Unions affiliated to each faction of the INTUC, the AICC recognises INTUC led by Shri Sanjeeva Reddy as the official body. The AICC has appealed to Shri G. Sanjeeva Reddy and Shri C.S. Dubey to resolve the differences amicably and to withdraw all the cases pending in various courts. INTUC will be asked to conduct its elections at the earliest.
As suggested by the two-member committee, Hon’ble Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge has appointed a Coordination Committee to keep an eye on the affairs of INTUC and apprise the Hon’ble Congress President of developments from time-to-time, as follows, with immediate effect.
