The Prime Minister has been falling prey to his own words for the last 8 years

Spokesperson: Shri Pawan Khera: He wished everyone a very Happy 75th Independence Day. The Prime Minister has been falling prey to his own words for the last 8 years and sounds very tired. His words are weary. There is no emotion in his words, no emotion in the heart, no passion, because whatever he had promised, now I think, they must be torturing himself. Where did the double income of the farmers go, where did the promise of giving home to everyone go, where did the promise of bringing back all the black money go? Now, those unfulfilled promises neither let him sleep nor does let him speak properly.

Whatever political things he talked about, I think, is an internal matter of the BJP. There is a kind of nepotism in the BJP. I have never seen a man who has reached a big position in cricket score a century at Lord’s. There is another minister, whose son may not have passed the Foreign Services, but holds a prominent position in a prominent think-tank. So now they are attacking their own ministers, are attacking the sons of their own ministers - this Modi ji will tell himself, but today the country expected him to give his report card, 8 years’ account. But, the Prime Minister disappointed the entire nation and his supporters today.

Independence Day is a historic day and the 75th Independence Day is a different history altogether. Historical speeches have been given from the ramparts of the Red Fort, from where the Prime Minister was delivering today. Historic men have written history from there. Every word that came out of their mouth designed the fate of this country. In such a situation, it was expected that the Prime Minister would deliver a ‘Matured’ speech. It was expected of him to understand his responsibilities and the dignity of his post. It is a great pity that the Prime Minister has disappointed the whole country today, that too, on a day when the whole world is looking at the ramparts of the Red Fort. Monday, August 15, 2022.
