Congress celebrates 138th Foundation Day

New Delhi: The Congress Party on December 28, 2022, celebrated its 138th Foundation Day at its headquarters in New Delhi. On the occasion, Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge unfurled the Congress Tri-colour flag in the presence of former Presidents Smt. Sonia Gandhi and Shri Rahul Gandhi and senior leaders. Shri Kharge tweeted and wrote, “Indian National Congress has always worked for the well-being and progress of the people of India.” “We firmly believe in equality of opportunity guaranteed in political, economic and social rights, enshrined in the Constitution of India,” he tweeted. Shri Rahul Gandhi also tweeted on Foundation Day and said, “I am proud that I am a part of such an Organization which chose the path of truth, non-violence and struggle in every situation and always took every step in the interest of the people.”

On this occasion, senior leaders Smt. Sonia Gandhi, Shri Rahul Gandhi, Shri K.C. Venugopal, Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal and Steering Committee members, Sewa Dal and Congress workers were also present at AICC headquarters. “To make the Congress Party inclusive, we have to involve youth and women, marginalized sections, intellectuals and take them along with us to fight against inflation, unemployment and hatred,” Shri Mallikarjun Kharge said in his speech. “It has already started in Shri Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. Our crores of workers spread across the country have once again got ‘Sanjivani’. The yatra has shown that the ideology of the Congress is finding tremendous support in the country and this has created panic among our opponents today.”
