Bangladesh Liberation War

Chandigarh: Upon the completion of 50 years of Bangladesh Liberation War, a commemoration was organized on December 04, 2021, at Police Auditorium, Ambala under the leadership of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Kumari Selja.

Captain Praveen Davar, the national convener of Bangladesh Liberation War, was present as the Chief Guest in this programme and the treasurer of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, Shri Rohit Jain was the convener of the commemoration programme.

Addressing this state level programme, Kumari Selja said that the 1971 war was fought under the charismatic leadership of former Prime Minister Late Smt. Indira Gandhi. This war has a special place in world history because as a result of this, a new country was born in the form of Bangladesh. This war changed the history as well as the geography of South Asia.

On this occasion, former President of Haryana Pradesh Congress, Ch. Phool Chand Mulana, former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Ch. Ramkishan Gujjar, MLAs Smt. ShailyChadhri and Smt. RenuBala, former Minister Shri BijendraKadian, former MLA Shri JasbirMalour, President of Haryana Pradesh Mahila Congress Smt. Sudha Bhardwaj, working chief organizer of Haryana Congress Seva Dal, Dr. Poonam Chauhan, State Congress Media Incharge Shri Nilay Saini, Smt. Kiran Bala Jain, Shri Shyam Sundar Batra, Shri Sanjay Agarwal, Smt. Venu Agarwal, Smt. Nirmal Chauhan, Smt. Sunita Sharma etc. were mainly present.
