Big portfolio for Saurabh Patel

Spokesperson: Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi: He said that the Prime Minister of the country was the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2002 to 2014 12 years. He appointed indisputably and undoubtedly, at the request of and possibly under the pressure of India’s biggest Industrial House - a close relative as a Minister of an extremely important and vital portfolio - Ministry of Energy and Petro Chemicals - where money is involved in Millions of Crores and not in Thousands. That Ministership lasted one of the longest, same portfolio from 2002 to 2016 14 years - of which 12 years Mr. Modi was the Chief Minister of that State under whose Leadership Mr. Saurabh Patel worked as a Minister. The stories, the facts, the figures which have emerged today and doubtlessly more will emerge establish the indisputably the following and I am simplifying it and shortening it. Companies were formed by Patel’s family from 2008. Companies were obviously formed to hide and conceal because the names of each company were changed two or three times Company ‘X’ which was created was broadly a different times in equal shares by Mr. Patel, Mr. Patel’s brothers, brother’s wife, Mr. Patel’s son etc. One company was also held by Mr. Patel’s uncle. These Companies then acquired other Companies which were already having Oil Blocks - Heramec is a Company incorporated in 2009 in the Bahamas owned by a family of Gorlas all the Gorlas’ shares were purchased by Heramec became ultimately a Patel Company. In the other direction, these two or three companies of which main one was Lesha, again name is changed to GNRL later on acquired Oil Blocks separately through GSPC this GSPC again is a Public Sector of Gujarat fully under the control of the Ministry headed by Mr. Patel for 14 Years and by the Prime Minister, the then Chief Minister for 12 Years. It is the same GSPC about whose scam of Rs. 20,000 Crore we have briefed you earlier. These have direct interest in oil and petrochemicals. This is nothing to do with conflict of interest. This is pure and simple corruption. Then there is no disclosure, it is you have who have disclosed the details, there is no voluntary disclosure by anybody. The Prime Minister and the Chief Minister then cannot escape by merely naming Mr. Patel. Accountability of the Prime Minister and Mr. Patel the 14 Years Minister must be given to the Nation which demands it and the test of their accountability must be in the Temple of the Nation the Parliament which is in session now. This is vital because it is not merely some dirt in the wheat or the chaff. The entire wheat is dirt itself. The entire issue wreaks and smells of corruption. There is no way to turn for the citizen of Gujarat or for the citizen of India. All his favourite people during his Leadership have been found to be seriously corrupt and therefore, accountability must come from the Prime Minister no less. It also exposes as hollow his frequent and his Party’s frequent ‘Jumlebazi’ and preaching at the drop of a hat and every sentence we heard ‘Jumlebazi’ about corruption and anti-corruption but when we look left, there is Madhya Pradesh
VYAPAM scam which has refused to go away. When we look further East, there is Chhattisgarh known for the Panama papers and the Rice scam. When we look Westwards, there is Rajasthan, which is attaining glorious milestones in crony capitalism and corruption. In Gujarat, the previous Chief Minister was tainted but now we have possibly from Gujarat the mother in terms of numbers and figures the mother of all corrupt scandals and the Prime Minister is still giving us ‘Jumlas’, ‘Preachings’, Didactic Updesh. So, therefore, if this is the Policing, if this is the ‘Nigrani’ and ‘Pehredari’ of a Prime Minister who claims to be the most fearful policeman with 56” chest, then I think the Nation, through Parliament, has every right to question him. He can run away from Parliament or ‘Monetization’ and ‘Demonetization’, he can run away from the Parliament on the issue of deaths but how long will he keep running away from the Parliament and the country through Parliament demands accountability immediately.
