India lacks strong military policy

On 1st May, 2017 that Pakistan again made a murderous attack in J&K and two of our jawans were martyred and after that in Kulgam in Jammu and Kashmir and in another serious and notorious attack where five policemen and two bank officials were murdered in broad daylight by terrorists. On behalf of the Indian National Congress we express our condolences to our jawans, policemen of JK Police and the bank officials and also salutes their martyrdom. The killing of jawans and then mutilating their bodies by Pakistan is an act of cowardice and shows their perverted mindset. This also shows how a neighbouring country leaves aside the limits of humanity and can fall so low. We condemn this act of cowardice and perverted mindset and once again condemn it strongly.

One the one hand Pakistan continuously conspires to make murderous attack on our soldiers while on the other hand Pakistan continuously exports terrorists into our military establishments and other places and attack and kill our police and common people regularly. In J&K alone, in the past three years more than 200 soldiers have been martyred. 91 common people lost their lives and not only this, if you see the figures of attacks carried all over India by Pakistan exported terrorists, it is shocking. In the past three years 575 jawans have lost their lives. 877 people have lost their lives due to bullets of the terrorists or bullets fired from across the border. On 1343 occasions, Pakistan has violated the border line in Jammu and Kashmir. More than 12 big terrorist attacks have been made by Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab. Weather it is the Gurdaspur attack in 2015, or terrorist attack on Udhampur in August 2015 or Pathankot attack in January 2016 or the Pampor attack in February 2016 and June 2016 or the heart-rendering attack on our military installation in Uri in September 2016 or the recent attack of Kupwara on 26th April, 2017 where our soldiers and jawans whether it was the Poonch attack on 1st May, 2017 or the Kulgam attack, where our soldiers and Army jawans and two bank officials were martyred.

It is true that such widespread terrorist attacks and such attacks after by Pakistan on our Army shows the lack in the political leadership of our country. In this country there is a lack of policy and intention; and above all, there are shortcomings and flaws in our National Security. This is the truth that the country of 125 crore people is asking for a reply from the present government. When will we show 56 inch chest to Pakistan? When will we boldly talk with Pakistan by staring in their eyes? How many mothers and sisters have to sacrifice their sons and husbands, how many brothers have to be sacrificed and when will the firing and terrorism from across Pakistan will stop? Until when we shall stand in vacuum with our diplomacy and strategy and when will the Bharatiya Janata Party wake up, the question is? The country wants a reply to this, because it is not satisfied with words but needs a strong policy and a strong system.
